Larka trotted through the trees, finally reaching the stream. She bent her head for a drink, the white she wolf's ear's perked for any sound of movement. She was still in heat, something that made herevery nervous and extreamly paranoid, especially when she was out alone. She wondered what Koran was doing, if he wanted pups as much as she did. They were mates now, but they hadn't mated yet. She thought she heard a twig crack, her head raising, her ears swivling here and there.

Oddly enough, the day was very relaxed and quiet. a figure sat in the middle of the path that was surrounded by lush, green forestry. It was nice here. He had lived here almost two years now. Seafall had been recently raided, Black Valley had taken over them, and only Ruin Forest remained free. But that's the way he wanted his pack to be. Safe. Happy, content, and an easy-going life. But of course, nothing ever can true for him. It was like that one tale he had heard when he was only a pup. 'Life goes on on it's own, things happen that none can control, and there's nothing we can do about it.' He smiled slightly as his mother's soft voice whispered through his mind. She was dead. She'd been dead for years. But somehow..... He knew she was still here, watching over where he was and his pack he was so strongly trying to protect. He'd do anything to guard his pack, keep them safe. In his previous home, he had been too young to do that, let alone defend himself very well. Well, he might still be with the tribe at this moment if it hadn't been that the tribe began to believe that well, their beliefs were wrong. Murders, war, chaos erupted and then he fled. And then he had come here. Koran smiled a little at his thoughts. He could remember Azuri finding him and she had kept calling him mouse. He laughed softly at his thoughts, smiling a little more. That's what he loved about this place. the wolves here well... they didn't force you to do anything, they all were friendly.
The beta male sighed, popping from his thoughts and slowly closed his eyes, hanging his head, ears pinning against his skull as the top of his skull pointed towards to the creek. He rolled onto his back and stared at the sky in silence. He hadn't seen Larka the past week; he had been busy dealing with the rebeliant Armius and his siblings. The male chucked lightly at the thought. He knew why the pups' father had vanished. He had gone back. Gone back to his heart, where his heart had been left. Koran's blue eyes darkened as he growled lightly; These past few days; He could feel it in the air. War was coming. So was the all season of which the leaves fell from the trees, and then after the fall season the harsh Winter would come. Hopefully it wouldn't be as rough as the last year. He sighed lightly and rolled onto his side, staring silently into the lush green herbs and forestry around him. Everything seemed so calm now, but was unusually silent, a deathly silence. The male blinked tiredly and closed his eyes, letting himselffall into the dark folds of silence as the sounds of the forest flooded his senses, the smells. He froze as he took in a certain scent that was all too familiar. His heart gave a small thud as it stopped for a moment before his eye lids opened, the gentle looking forest filling his eyesight again, yet he could smell Larka's scent. She had been this way. He rolled to his paws in a minor secound and bounded down the path silently, moving swiftly and quickly yet as silent as a fox.
He loved the flying sensation as he wove through the trees like an agility dog would to as it ran between poles, his paws silently hitting the ground and carrying him at a swift speed. He lunged from the trees as they split into a small clearing, paws hitting the moss silently, the moss clogging up the sound of a thud as he propelled forward again, the swift grace as he ran, in secounds vanishing from the clearing. He lunged over some ferns that kept the clearing hidden, and was surrounded by trees again. He smiled to himself as he took a swift, sharp left turn, heading west. He ran west for about a mile before turning north again. He could smell a faint trace of Larka on the ferns as he cantered past, paws seemingly blurred and fur flattened against the wind. All this... it was a nice sensation for him. He enjoyed running. Slowly, the scent trail grew stronger. He burst into a full speed run, seeing the glittering of water ahead. His blue eyes flashed as he flew into a crouch and launched forward, a twig snapping beneath his claws, yet he silently flew through the air. Moments later he landed about ten feet in front of Larka, landing on his paws, throwing water everywhere. He laughed as his came up from the water, thoroughly soaked, but grinning. He looked at his mate and smiled. "Hi Larka," he greeted her, smiling in a friendly way at his mate. Larka jumpped when a wolf landed infront of her, water splashing everywhere. She tensed, but was met by Koran's smiling maw. "Koran! You idiot, you scared me!" she growled, trying to be mad. She ended up giggling insted. "You're soaked!" she giggled, bounding into the water and touching her nose to his. "What are you doing out here, love?" she asked, her head brushing against his, her tail wagging excitedly.

The beta smiled when he threw water everywhere, his head appearing and water streaming from his pelt and nostrils, making rivets of water run own between his ears and drip into his face, onto his muzzle, where then the drops of water ran down the side of his muzzle or just ran straight down and dripped off his nose, but he was soaked. He laughed softly at Larka's frightened expression, flicking his tail, which effected by slinging water everywhere. He only grinned a little more as he sat, studying his mate. She was a beautiful as ever, of course, but she had obviously been scared poop-less by his sudden entrance. He watched joyfully as she tensed and glared into his face, but her expression turned scornful like a mother scolding her child but it held warmth and laughter. His put on his 'awe-yea-I-totally-scared-you!' smile, tilting his ears to the side to look like an innocent pup giving it's mother a begging look not to punish it for doing something wrong. His blue orbs were dancing joyfully though, obviously he was enjoying this very much. He laughed out-loud when he scowled, telling hi she had scared him. He wagged his tail in the murky water he was now standing in. "You're welcome," came his reply as he grinned mockingly, but lovingly with gentleness. He made his tail keep still, but it was somewhat hard when this made him highly amused. She was trying to be mad, but she failed at it, ending up bursting out laughing like he had been. He grinned sheepishly and brush his head with hers when she touched noses with him. She wondered what he was doing out here. He smirked in responce. "I was on an epic stroll, hunting down a rabbit when a saw you and came flying out of nowhere and landed in the exact spot I'm standing in now. Is that explainitory enough?" he laughed, his soaked tail wagging as he realised she was wet as well. It was a blur, but playfully yet gently a moment later Larka was shoved into the water. Obviously Koran was playing a game, so she shouldn't be mad. He was about to leap it a fish he saw swim past her when he tripped, crashing into his stomach into the creek, his head vanishing before slowly his head raised, his fur flattened and sleek, but a limp fish in his jaws. He grinned at his now throughly soaked mate from the water that streaming down his face. Today seemed so perfectly calm and relaxing.

Larka growled softly when Koran grinned mockingly, nudging him softly. "Don't be mean. You really scared me." she growled, looking up at him with her ice blue eyes. She rolled her eyes at his smirk, knowing a smart mouth response would follow soon. Oh look, there it was. "Sure why not." she giggled, shaking her head. She felt Koran nudge her, a playful glimmer in his eyes before she stumbled, hitting the water. She gasped, stuggling back to her paws. She glared at her mate, her white fur clinging to her dripping frame.
"Koran!" She whined, watching him trip and stumble as he went for a fish his head dissapearing beneath the water. She giggled when he came back up, the fish limp in his jaws. "You're such a klutz." she giggled, licking his muzzle softly. Her in-heat scent still clung to her, wafting around her and Koran. She smiled at her mate, her eyes glittering as they met his. The murky water swirled beneath her , the current tugging at her fur. She grabbed the fish from him, bounding back to shore. She shook out her gleaming fur, settling down a little ways from the water. "You just gonna stand there all day, mister or are you gonna come lay here with me?" she asked, her tail thumpping against the ground.
