Taipa swooped close to the ground and then back up again, enjoying the mountain winds. Of course nothing competed with a ballywag, but hey this wasn't hurricane season and he was way far from the coast anyways.
Right now, he was guiding a loner towards relative safety from the tensions down below in the valley and forested area. He was looking for Snowstorm, an easily recognizable wolf. Every now and again, he saw the trio of Snowstorm's group in the mountains. Taipa was glad they were growing strong and prosperous, but he worried for them. The pup, now full grown, was different from the other wolves he'd known. Sometimes, he'd caught the young'un by himself as if pondering something.
Either way, now they were all going to have a new guest that they better take in to help fuel the rebellion in the long run. Snowstorm wouldn't achieve anything with the group he had now, two traitors and a run-away...not so good at persuading a pack like Ruin Forest to use their information.
Quickly, he pumped his wings and went as high as he could to find the bunch of wolves. His keen eyesight helped, but he needed to pinpoint their location or Rave and him were going to get lost.
Taipa screeched horribly loud into the mountain range and was satisfied by the echo. Soon they would hear a reply and if anything Portal, Snowstorm's owl, would do so. Then, he banked to the left and dove to where the loner was walking. Now he'd keep the 'pleasant' wolf company.

Rave ran on under Taipa, trees passing by quickly. He had mixed feelings about this and kept thinking about what he should do when he met the other wolves. His paws kept at a steady rhythm and his heart raced. Suddenly the falcon above let out a loud screech, making him jump. All this thought of other wolves made the loner nervous and jumpy. He slowed just a bit as the bird dove toward him and waited for him. "Do you know even where these wolves are?" Rave asked when the bird was into a range where he could hear the wolf.

Blood stained the white muzzle of a large male brute, his pink tongue ran over his stained lips as he enjoyed the feel of a full stomach, beside him a large snowy owl nibbled at a mouse he had caught when the two wolves hunted the large stag. The other wolf laid not far off enjoying himself as well, he was now full grown, and a force to be reckon with. Snowstorm has been teaching the young brute sense he was a small pup. "You have improved a lot sense you found me, Dark" Snowstorm deep voice danced around the forest to find its way to the young male. Pride shown in the large white male's grey blue eyes as he licked the remaining blood off his muzzle. His muscles rippled and his feathers ruffled as he stretched his legs and massive wings. Relief flooded his body and he neatly tucked his wings at his sides, His errie white fur danced as the wind tore at the trees above them, sprickles if light found it's way to his fur giving him a ghostly appearance. He looked at his apprentice and gave a light smile, Dark had come far from the little pup that was brave enough to leave the bloody clutches of the Black Valley Pack, with only terribly true stories to be guided by.
His head then turned at the sound of his owl Portal growing restless and cooing quietly to himself, his golden eyes held a terrible curse, none shall look in the depths or the fallen souls that have been claimed by others claws will break free of the immortal cage and seek revenge of searing pain. The torturer would only last a few minutes if the being had only killed a few. But for Snowstorm, it could last for hours, though thankfully the owl had a strong bond with Snowstorm and tired desperately not to look him in the eyes, and Snowstorm did the same. Snowstorm chuckled then said to his beloved owl "Go enjoy the wind, Portal. We need some rest and to digest our filling kill." Then Snowstorm rest his head on his paws and watched his owl take off. Only a few minutes after a screech of another bird reached his ears. But this caused no alarm to him, there where many birds around here.
The wind tugged playfully at the snow owl's feathers, sending him higher in the atmosphere. his pupils grew wide and then narrowed as he focused on objects below him. Flapping his wings, he then tilted back and gained more altitude, Parting his black beak, a loud, smooth screech echoed off the mountains in a response to another bird or prey. Portal knew that call all to well, it belonged to a Gyrfalcon named Taipa. He was a friend of Snowstorm and himself. He had saved Portal from death, and helped Snowstorm and Dark many times before. Now it seemed like the falcon was seeking out their small pack again. The winds took Portal back to the north a few miles, then suddenly stalled, folded his wings and fell to the earth. Then skillfully spreading his wings, he slowed and landed on a branch of a large oak tree. His golden eyes scanned the forest, his head facing behind him at one point. his black talons dug into the think bark, causing sap to seem from the wounds. Launching off again, Portal flew silently through the forest, soon what he had been seeking came into view. Taipa was talking to a dark colored wolf, who seemed slightly grumpy. Portal landed silently on a branch and watched, he wanted to see what this wolf was like before making his presence known.

Taipa flew just above the wolf as they continued on. He was sure that if the owl had heard him they would find the group soon. At Rave's question he looked down with a 'smile' "Of course I know where I'm going!," he squawked. Erg...where are you guys!, he thought angrily.

Dark chomped on the rest of the bones from the stag Snowstorm and him had caught. It had been a long time since he'd joined the male. He felt as if he finally had found a home, but underneith he knew that Black Valley would always be his true blood home. One of these days he'd have to confront it, but he ignored that thought always and kept going forward with his life. The bad dreams had left him after a while with Snowstorm. He was sure the male knew that he was from that hideious pack, but he hadn't had the guts to tell him out front yet.
When Snowstorm commented on his performance, he smiled widely. "It's because your a great teacher Snowstorm," he said happily. He noticed Portal begin to twitch and was glad when Snowstorm told the owl to go. The eyes of that owl always made him uneasy, but he could stare straight into them and not have a problem, just as he had done way back when he had been falling off the cliff.
"I wonder where he's going," he said curiously.

Rave had a nagging feeling that someone was watching them. He stopped and sniffed the air. 'No near wolf scent,' He thought ears twitching. He was being to jumpy. The thought of meeting his own kind had gotten to his head. Rave ruffled his feathers a bit and looked back at Taipa. The bird had a hint of distress in his eyes. He had no idea where this pack was. "Shall I take flight with you? It maybe quicker," The last word came out short and hesitant. Rave then scolded himself for showing his uneasiness.

The large predatory bird fluffed out his feathers as his golden eyes watched the jumpy wolf, still wondering what business this wolf had with Snowstorm. Portal clacked his beck in amusement as the wolf sniffed the air for a wolf, then grew bored of perching on the tree, the owl stretched his wings and swooped down over the wolf's head then silently landing in a tree near Tiapa. He let out a soft hoot and looked in Taipa's general direction, knowing that most birds were superstitious about looking owls in the eyes. Portal hooted again as if asking if Taipa told the wolf about his curse Snowstorms dead father out on him to punish his son, if not the wolf would soon find out if he had killed n looked into Portal's golden pools.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Grey eyes looked up where his owl had disappeared into the sky, he shrug and answered his apprentice's wonderment "I have no clue, really. Maybe he went of to challenge a crow to a fight." the large male stared for a few moments lost in his wonderment, then lowering his head to the pad of his right front paw and began licking. The days travel, mostly non-stop made his pads sore, but completely necessary to escape trackers from Black Valley. Snowstorm curled his lips back in a silent snarl as he remembered the embarrassing defeat. He dug his claws into the soft dirt, the air around him grew thick with anger. Then suddenly flicking his ear the air around him turned back to its usual cold chill that always seemed to be clinging to his fur, no matter how hot the weather was. Then he turned his attention to his wings and began cleaning and rearranging the feathers as they relaxed some enjoying a days rest that they haven't had in a long while.
